Hi all, i've just found out this morning that i'm pregnant with baby #4. It's totally unplanned and i'm a bit in shock. I'm 39 at the moment but baby will be due on my 40th. It's day 34 since this cycle started and i got a very faint positive. I can't stop shaking. DH is just a hysterical as i am. Is there anyone else out there in the same boat? my kids are 9,7,4

Oh....if it's wasn't so shocking I'd laugh for for you.

I'm 20 weeks Pg now and this one was a total shock. In fact even now at 20 I still don't think I'm over the shock of seeing that line appaer in the box.

Congratulations....

It really is shocking, isn't it Banini?

Mine are 7,5 and almost 3. I di want another one but DH was totally against the idea. I never ever EVER in amillion yrs throught we'd have another. I'd accepted that DS3 would always be my baby.
I was even starting to look forward to when I'm a grandparent!!!!!!

The descision for this one was totally taken out of our hands. I fell PG on about day 9 of my cycle so really really wasn't expecting it. The Ds's were all textbook babies, conceieved between days 12-16.

Oh Hun, Was where you are a few months ago but I am expecting a shock #5!!
22 Weeks now and I very often find myself thinking its all a dream.
You will get used to the idea and I am a firm beliver that once you have got 3 or more another one will just fit in
Well thats what I keep telling myself lol

Congratulations xxxx

Thanks for all the replies Why oh why did i give away my cot and pram!!!! I guess we'll have to start looking into getting a bigger car now. So much is going to have to change. Guess i'll give myself a day or two to get used to the idea then start sorting myself out.

i know how you feel about shock of being pregnant. i'm pg with my 3rd with DDs 4yrs and 13mths. i'm terrified and its taken me a couple of weeks to get used to the idea. i'm still not 100% excited but hey ho...

evenhope · 20/08/2006 14:48

I'm 9 weeks pg and 43 years old. We hadn't been able to decide whether to try again after 2 missed m/c and something decided for us! We had sex just once this whole month and it wasn't mid-cycle My teens don't know yet but I don't think they'll be over-impressed.

Familytree · 20/08/2006 14:57

Ahhh how lovely for you Banini.

LadyTophamHatt · 20/08/2006 14:58

Banini, we moved house in January and I got rid of everything.

Pram, cot, baby clothes, sleepsuits, maternity clothes, steriliser, toys.
Anything that was baby related I gave to charity.

It like we're first time parents again and having to start from total scratch.
Ebay is a wonderful thing at times like this

southeastastra · 20/08/2006 15:11

congratulations! i was the youngest four and mum had me at 40, i loved being the littlest and had a great relationship with my mum.

LadyTophamHatt · 20/08/2006 15:21

I'm slowly gathering all sorts of bits and bobs MV but the one thing I haven't had any luck with is the biggest item of all.

The bloody cot!
I'll get a new mattress and 2nd hand cot but there are never any in our local paper. It's almost getting wierd because there just aren't any. Haven't seen any bootsales either which is where I would clothe a baby from too.

I'm proud to be a skinflint

Still, I'm only hlaf way through...have plenty of time to continue my quest.

If you have anything for sale let me know though.

Popsy, I got a free tommee tippee sterilser when I subcribed to pregnany and birth. I waited until it was something I needed then subscribed.....a cunning plan I thought

I am currently 10 days off having my 7th child and Im 40 this november. Other people find it more shocking than me I just love having my children around me
