due on mon but still only 4/5ths engaged

I am due on monday and after my latest MW app. was told the head is still only 4/5ths engaged. So it seems unlikely that baby will be arriving anytime soon. How many of you have not engaged but still gone into labour and still managed a vaginal birth? Any tips on what might help baby's head engage further?

Doesn't 4/5 mean the baby is mostly engaged??

try not to worry, i was told by mw dd was not engaged at all and she was born 3 days later normal vaginal birth. have been told that some babies dont engaga till labour starts

I was told my LO was 3/5 and that was way past my due date, he arrived without intervention 4 days later

my first didn't engage at all. (He arrived 9 days early though) Only problem was when my waters broke it went everywhere!

I was told by my midwife 3/5 means the baby is engaged. And the amount engaged has no effect on when you go into labor.

my first baby didnt engage till i was in labour it isnt that important your baby will come when its ready wherever its curled up.

how do they tell how engaged the baby is - please tell me it doesnt involve an internal every time you see the MW

They do it from feeling your bump on the outside
