Hi I am 17 weeks with my second child and I still haven't felt any movement. Is this normal?

Yes it's totally normal. I think I felt it at 18 weeks on no.2 but my GP said that it can sometimes be 22 weeks.

Oh right okay thank you.

I'm 18 and a half weeks and unsure if I felt the first flicker last night. I'd definitely not felt anything before.

I feel bait better now then :)

I got the first little movements about 18 weeks but they were pretty subtle - they got a lot more definitive over the following week or two.

I felt nothing until 21 weeks and even then I couldn't be sure. It's totally normal in my opinion.

Could be the position of your placenta - I've read that if it's at the front, you feel movement later, even with a second child. I'm 18+2 with my first but can't feel a thing yet. I'm sure I'll be moaning about being kicked to bits soon, but right now I can't wait to start feeling it!

I've only started feeling definitive movement around 21 weeks. I had a few flutter beforehand but not even sure what it was. Even now I don't feel the bean regularly so nothing to panic about :)

It really isn't a question of 'still' not feeling movement at 17 weeks. 17 weeks is very early for movement for anyone, including second and subsequent babies. Anything up to about 22 weeks is still well within the normal range.

I didn't feel anything until around 22/23 weeks at the earliest - I've an anterior placenta (placenta is in front of baby) so its harder to feel movements
