Cervical polyps at 23 weeks

Hey, I guess I'm wondering if anyone can offer some reassurance...

I just got back from the hospital after being checked out for light bleeding at 23 weeks. Apparently I have a 2cm cervical polyp, which the doctors are not too worried about but they're referring me to get it checked out just in case.

But now I'm panicking about the 'just in case' part. Half of me is terrified I might lose the baby, the other half of me keeps thinking that maybe it's not just a polyp but advanced cancer. Maybe it's hard to tell the difference between a polyp and a tumor. Maybe I'm one of the rare cases where a polyp is cancerous. Maybe I'm being ridiculous!

So has anyone here had a polyp during pregnancy and gone on to have a healthy baby and, also, like, not die?
