Clear positive test 1-2 weeks then a week later said not pregnant

I am freaking out. I did a clear blue test on Monday as my period is late. It read 1-2 weeks pregnant. My husband and I were over the moon as we have been trying for just under a year. However, I just did another test tonight now 8 days late and the clear blue test said not pregnant. Has anyone else experienced this I am so worried as I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks last summer and freaking out that it's happening again! Or am I not pregnant? Confused!

Was your urine heavily diluted the second time?

I have had a pint of diluting orange but I thought being 8 days late it would still come up pregnant? It is the evening please say there is still hope. My husband is out for a work night out and I'm freaking out!

I'm sure you are pregnant, I expect it's just that the hormone level wasn't strong enough later in the day, don't panic. Wait a few more days and do another 1st wee if day.

I agree with summer. If you had a positive and still have no period you are likely to be. Can you go out and get a first response?

Oh you must be so worried. Sadly, there's no way of knowing if it's a viable pregnancy. I've had the same experience and it wasn't positive news in the end. I think you should see the GP on Monday and explain and ask for a blood test. More home pregnancy tests might just compound your confusion and worry. Can a friend come and be with you?

Any symptoms over the weekend of pain, unusual discharge or anything untoward, seek medical help sooner but otherwise I'd seek gp advice on Monday and I truly hope it's a matter of dilution issues or similar.

Thank you so much everyone. I have a two year old and getting her ready for bed so can't go out and get pregnancy test. Will get first response tomorrow. Fingers crossed everything is ok. I am having quite a bit of cramp I just hope it is just pregnancy symptoms. Trying hard not to panic! Thanks everyone I really appreciate your advice! X

Hi everyone bad news I'm afraid. Started to get pinkish discharge after going to toilet. Phoned nhs when my husband got home. Doctor phoned back to say it sounded like I was having a miscarriage. Completed devastated just started passing clots. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who replied as it calmed me down a bit.

Thank you Tracey and Raxa just feel drained. Devastated but trying to keep positive and be thankfully I already have a gorgeous wee girl. It's still hard but have a supportive husband & family to help me through it. I just hope we are lucky enough to have a 2nd baby as this is the second miscarriage. Going to keep trying but scared this will happen again. Can't thank you enough for your support everyone & your kind words. X

Hi @Michaela07 so as you've seen in the posts above, this might mean you've had a chemical miscarriage or a chemical (depending on how far along you are, it's not clear in your post).

Hi, unfortunately sometimes it takes a little while for the body to react and start bleeding, after the tests have turned negative.
Unless I'm wrong and all the negative tests were faulty, but several tests showing negative at this stage (again, not entirely sure which stage!!) is unlikely.

I dont think clear blue digital test is faulty i bough 3 of them

Okay then it's unfortunately just a matter of wait and see. Either you start bleeding and you know that it's a loss, or you don't, in which case do another test in a few days and see what that says. 👍

Hi I’m sort of experiencing the same as you have beeen I had my last period 30th September I started bleeding for 2 days on the 21st October I did pregnancy test last week and it was postive then I did a clear blue it says 1-2 weeks and I did 4 more test witch was postive I had a micarridge last year and I did 2 test today in the evening and they are both negitive I’m really confused because normally clear blues are 99 right could it be my HCG levels are too low or could I had another miscarriage but I only bleed for 2 weeks and I have pregnancy symptoms always tierd feeling sick gone of certain food I just don’t know z

Second First response is slightly lighter than the 1st First Response test I took 37 hours ago. I totally freaked out so my OH suggested we went out for breakfast and a walk. I had a smoothie, coffee and ACV, Tumeric & Ginger shot… so a decent amount of fluid.
Forced a (wee) the second we got home and the CB digital now says ‘Not Pregnant’

What is going on 😞 All of this in less that 72 hours. 😣 and a change in CB digital in 15.5 hours.

I haven’t had a period since August, MMC treated with D&C on the 25th Nov. Confirmed negative pregnancy tests myself and by the Dr from 27th Dec. Peak Ovulation from CB OPKs on the 10th Jan.
