ladies who have had c section before, when did your womb shrink back?

Im 2 1/2 weeks post c section and can still feel my womb not far below my belly button like a hard tender mass. I expected it would take longer to retract than it did with my last two natural labours but didnt think it would still be this high this far on, is that normal? A week ago a mw had a feel of my belly and said it was still high but should start going down but it has'nt moved since then.

Anyone?

It was about 3 weeks before it returned to something like normal for me unfortunately the shelf of fat remains over a year later

By 6 weeks is the norm, but everyone is different. That's why new mums get the 6 week check - to make sure everything goes back where it should.
