it has dipped 2 cm since last visit 2 weeks ago, being sent for scan next week, so near my due date!
Bump has been very tight the last 2 months very square looking and painful, solid.

dont seem to be carrying alot of fluid, i am small frame and 5ft 5. very worried.

Are you being measured by the same person each time?

jojo1909 · 17/08/2006 22:27

Yes by my Midwife

I have expressed my worry about having a small bump before, and how everyone at my antenatal who have same due date all look bigger, even ladies with similar frame to me.

Are you being sent for a scan? Heartbeat, regulars movements are a better sign of babies help than fundal height but maybe you should ask about a scan.

Yes being sent for a scan next tuesday and to see consultant, all seems a bit late now though my due date being 27th.

having movements, but keep reading about low amniotic fluid levels, have noticed on my papers this hasnt been checked, is it normal not to check?

my bump is always tight, and square looking

They can't check your fluid levels without scanning you
If your bump has always been in your opinion on the small side then that may be perfectly normal for you
Your bump will be feeling solid as it's filling up with baby
I'm sure the scan will reassure you

Thanks for the reassurence, its my first pregnancy.

maybe just getting nervous, seems that the last few weeks are usually filled with concern that everything will be ok.

don't worry too much, was reading an article about someone who didn't even know she was pregnant the other week, cause bled right way thru, and cause baby was standing up in womb! hence no bump hardly, sure baby will be fine, if MW was overly worried they'd have taken you straight in.

It is late now go to bed, sleep while you can

My last post was for JoJo

Hi,
My last measurement was taken at 37+6 and I measured 31.5. I had a scan at 36weeks for an unrelated reason and he was the right size for the weeks and there was the right amount of fluid. I asked midwife why the measurements are different and she says it all depends on what size you are to begin with, and if babies engaged, she says its is not a religious measurement just as long as it increases each time. Hope this helps.
