Trapped wind ouch!

I've always suffered with constipation and trapped wind, but this is now getting pretty annoying more than uncomfortable, has anyone got any good healthy remedies please? X

Depending on how far along you are of course I find it helps to lay on the floor, pull my knees to my chest (or as close as I can get right now) and rock side to side.
Seems to help shift the wind when I get colicky.

Also, a glass of fresh orange or even better a glass of prune juice at breakfast and dinner help to keep me regular.
Don't go overboard though.. it might have more than the desired effect.

Also avoid white bread and pasta if possible and try to aim for wholegrains. Processed carbs and starch will back you up.

I'm only 7+6 so despite normal bloating I'm still very flexible had a rice meal for dinner so don't think I will be doing that again and will deffo try orange/prune juice and laying on the floor haven't heard of that before! Thank you x

All fours with your bum in the air should make it go one way or the other! You can take windeeze in pregnancy too.

I find laying on my side, knees up as high as I can get them or the recovery position on my side/front works sometimes. hope you feel better soon op Thanks

Peppermint tea :)

I am the biggest skeptic of herbal remedies, but my midwife brought me peppermint tea to soothe post-CS wind. I laughed and begged for more drugs but in swear it worked within 10 minutes.

I have always reached for the peppermint tea since then. It really does work :)

Peppermint is great for digestion. thats why they serve after dinner minds at restaurants apparently.

My trapped wind is so painful in the mornings that my OH has to help me move. I find all fours helps and so does stretching out my legs and pointing my toes. It really does tske my breath away sometimes!!! Hope you get some relief Xx

Thanks for all your advise I've heard peppermint tea before but thought it more of a myth! God my OH is going to think I'm barking mad!!! On all fours, knees up! Lol x
