Help! Is this dress suitable for a wedding?

I've been almost driven to tears trying to find a dress to wear for a wedding in a few weeks. I'm only 20-odd weeks along, and thought I could get away with an appropriate "normal" dress as I'm not big enough for proper maternity wear, but this has proved nigh on impossible. Each dress i try on makes we feel like a sack of potaotes.

I like a maxi dress as they suit my figure, and I like the cut and colour of this one... BUT... is it suitable for a wedding? With heels and jewellery? Please help!

Yes, lovely. Also a good investment as it's so classical you could make it work for anything a bit 'smart', just by changing shoes/bag/accessories.

PS. Might nick this idea, I have a wedding at 24 weeks! And chaperoning a prom - so need a decent maxi.

RadgeWeeMidden · 24/03/2014 11:20

Go for it Squizita . Shopping for maternity clothes is so difficult, we are duty bound to share any good finds we can :)

More than suitable for a wedding!

Beccadugs · 24/03/2014 12:06

It's gorgeous! Definitely wedding suitable!!

Lovely dress. Be careful with sizing though. I bought some dresses from Seraphine and went up a size for safety and they were too big around the shoulders. So your normal size (or if it's stretchy material maybe even a size down) will be fine.
They have free returns in the UK but not elsewhere.

RadgeWeeMidden · 24/03/2014 13:21

Thanks for the tip Evie. Probably especially true as I'm not too far along

lovely dress I have a wedding when I will be 31 weeks and think I might give this a shot xxx

Oh it's lovely. I've just bought a very similar navy blue one from Monsoon for £59. I'm 34 weeks and bought it in my usual size... There's plenty of room because of the cut. If your heart's set on this, go for it, but if not, Monsoon is well worth a look! :-)

MrsMonkeyBear · 24/03/2014 18:52

Wow, love it. It's gorgeous.

Seraphine dresses are great. My favourite ever dress was from there in a not too dissimilar colour.

Rushyswife · 24/03/2014 19:01

It's very nice. I would echo earlier posters rage say Seraphibe can be cut generously. I 34 weeks and still wearing their size 8 stuff, I am def an 8/10 rather than true 8 when not pregnant.

Another really nice site for dresses is Tiffany Rose, I have bought a couple of bits from there and have a dress for a wedding I am due to go to at 39 1/2 weeks (if I make it!)
