Docs lost first urine sample. Eventually sent second sample off. Had a call last week (voicemail) asking me to call Midwife Office and make a Booking In appt. Ive rang three times now and noone can help because "your midwife manages her own diary" and is out of the office.

She will be back in on Wednesday. Ive tried the main surgery - they cant help.

Just feel like its all getting a bit silly.

Can't you call on Wednesday?

You probably do have time to sort it all out and get scan in time when she's back but that would piss me right off too!

As I'm feeling a bit miffed today, my advice would be to ring the supervisor of midwives and ask if she thinks it's appropriate that you can't make an appt due to the midwife 'managing her own diary' Bet you get one ASAP.

Yes, I will call Wednesday, but sje seems incredibly busy so who knows when she will be able to fit me in.

my first call to her was last Tuesday - thats a week uve been trying to sort this out. I could be booked in just about now if they had a better (or computerised) system that other people could help.with.

My booking in appt isn't until 1st April, when by lmp dates I'll be 10w6d so you do have time to get sorted. It does sound like a pain though.

In my area booking in appointments are done at 11/12 weeks, could yours be the same? Maybe that's why they aren't fussed just yet.

It is annoying though!

Our community midwife was only availble between 9 and 12 on a Wednesday and managed her own diary so I feel your pain. Once I was booked in was quite easy to get appointments though.

Should be *10/11/12 weeks and scans 12/13 weeks
