I've finally received my maternity uniform and it looks like Liza Minelli's Oscars outfit. I could cry Hmm

My work maternity outfit is bloody awful as well. Looks like I'm wearing a tent. Sad

I was really looking forward to receiving it as I can't fasten my trousers any more - I've had to resort to leaving the zip open and using a hair bobble to secure the buttons.

I shall be debuting my new look tomorrow - I'm ready for the surprised faces!!

It could be worse. Our place doesn't do maternity uniforms, they just give you a bigger size Confused at 34 weeks I was wearing a size 26 tunic (my own maternity clothes were size 12-14) I looked like a huge beach ball with spindly little arms and legs sticking out Grin. Worse still patients couldn't see I was pg it just looked like I carried my weight in an unfortunate way.

Aaaahhh sorry OP but you did make me laugh. Thanks for the visual!

I'm in the RAF and I look like an extra from a world war 2 film, it hasn't been updated in many years… I guess that's what comes from working for a mainly male organisation! Nobody cares about the pregnancy uniform. It's bloody comfortable though!

JC74 · 20/03/2014 21:47

Sounds like there are some shocking outfits out there!
At least I know I'm not alone Smile

I'm refusing to wear mine at the minute it's so awful Shock my usual uniform (nurse) is blue, but they've decided my maternity one will be white.... Bright starchy white so I stick out like a big fat white marshmallow Confused I'm only 22 weeks but it's twins and I'm getting a considerable bump! I tried on the maternity uniform at home and OH nearly died laughing and said I looked like a fishmonger Blush not happy bunny

JC74 · 21/03/2014 15:03

Oh eeyore2911 maybe I haven't done so badly? My uniform is completely different to everyone else's and I'm the only pregnant lady there.
In other news - the shiny, navy trousers have been sent back as they should have been black. They'll still look like PJ bottoms whatever colour they are!!

I was in scrubs for first pregnancy and no one realised I was pregnant, they must have just thought I was putting on weight. I did have a small bump, but even past 30 weeks! And no one let me sit down either! grr.

on the other hand, it was very comfy.

Grin JC at least we're not alone! I thought it was just my place that cocks everything up!!
