Believe me it's just the tip of the ise berg too, some of my wittering on our due in jan thread are from the depths of insanity...

(copied and pasted)

I'm now almost totally convinced that this one is a girl because of the way my head has been turned to mush.

I was never like this with the boys, yes I'd worried about the normal PG things but FGS, listen to this...today dh picked some plums off the tree in our garden, I washed it, bite into it and Mmmmmm it was lovely, juicy, soft and yummy then I noticed some little dots around the stone in the middle..."Hmmm" I thought "thats odd"....then I friggin noticed a little pink WORM inside it!

So my messed up head goes into overdrive...shall I phone the MW....the GP's....A&E.....999....the poisons centre(not that I know if there is such a thing).

In the end I told myself not to be so bloody stupid and didn't phone anyone but now my mind is racing again. FGS a naturally grown plum from my garden had got to be better than one mass grown with 1,000's of differnt pesicides to make them look and stay plum looking for weeks....and I didn't even eat the bloody worm!
Maybe I should have because then I would never have known it was there.

I am mad....and it's all Dh's fault....he got me PG...and he picked the plum.

Ridiculous, aren't I???

Never mind pregnancy, little pink worms inside fruit I've just bitten (even if its a whole little pink worm and not half) would make me totally bonkers at any time. UGH.
Yes of course its all DH's fault....

LadyTophamHatt · 15/08/2006 21:17

and then there the thing were I think I'm actually in denial about the whole thing anyway.

Even when i feel the baby move I think "Nahhh...it can't be the baby". I felt it move under my hand yesterday and I'm still questioning myelsf that I can actually feel it.

Honestly

LTH, you were at least a bit mad before...

Btw, I sat in my GPs waiting room for 3 hours one morning, while very pregnant with ds1, waiting for an emergency appointment after eating vegetable pate by accident - finally got in there, burst into tears and said "I think I've got listeria!" All pregnant women are slightly nuts, I reckon.

LadyTophamHatt · 15/08/2006 22:13

but going from abit mad to a competely nutcase in the matter of weeks is really quite something...is it not??

Don't worry, I burst into song in Tescos and sang and ode to the Cheerios when I found them last week....

But then I was a little bit weird before I was pregnant

shhhh · 16/08/2006 09:11

Sounds like me lth . DH has just returned from the worst stag weekend ever where he got pick pocketed and his cash, wallet/ c cards/mobile stolen..Hey ho...THEN on the way back the airline lost his case. [anger]. He's been unfazed BUT I otoh have been on the ceiling for 2 days awaiting it's arrival. Huh the incompitence (sp?) of some folk drives me mad...then I miss a recorded parcel the postman tried to deliver, I'm jumping up and down once told to redeliver will take 48 hours..48 HOURS..!!! Told the woman it's quicker for me to walk down for it.

I emailed dh yesterday asking him " was I like this prior to pregnancy..? Please answer No, Please tell me it will end in around 5 ish months etc"

So I know how you feel. I can't explain it though as 99% of the time I feel I'm the one being reasonable . Thats until I sit down and think about it..

How far gone are you..?
I'm 16 weeks.

LadyTophamHatt · 16/08/2006 09:28

I'm 19 weeks Shhh.....have been having ridiculous thoughts since about 6 weeks.

Sorry to hijack thread but where is the 'due in jan' thread?? I must be going mad because I can't find it.

Miaou · 16/08/2006 21:16

I'll join nutty and rofl - you loon, ladyt!!!

However I have to agree that I was over-occupied with worrisome thoughts when pg with ds in a way I never was with the dds - so maybe it, er, works the other way with you (?)
