Have I escaped morning sickness?

Just that really! I'm 9+3 and other than the odd brief spell of nausea (which could have just been down to being hungry) I haven't had any MS....is there a possibility it could still start or can I breath a sigh of relief?!

Maybe!

I didn't have a single episode of sickness with my first pregnancy.

I'm 21 weeks with DC2 and knew this one must be the other sex because of the non-stop sickness for the first 16 weeks!

Loopylu84 · 16/03/2014 22:50

I heard an old wives tale that no morning sickness means is a boy...was that true for you?!

The opposite Grin

No morning sickness = DD

Lots of sickness = this one is a DS!

Nellysgirl · 16/03/2014 23:34

No morning sickness here with my dd xx

MrsMonkeyBear · 17/03/2014 05:35

I'm the same, 9+3 too and apart from the odd bout of nausea, I have been totally free of MS. I don't believe the old wives tale, I think some women are just more prone to MS than others. Then there's us lucky buggers who don't get any at all!!

Xxx

I didn't have morning sickness and had a girl, my daughter did have morning sickness and also had a girl.

Binglesplodge · 17/03/2014 07:12

I'm the same too! 9+5, kept waiting for sickness and it hasn't appeared - I am so nervous waiting for the scan at 12 weeks!

Sillybillybob · 17/03/2014 07:13

No morning sickness either time and I have 1 of each...

TwoThreeFourSix · 17/03/2014 07:15

I had MS for 9 months with DS1 and 7 months and counting for DS2.

My mum only had MS when pregnant with her DD.

Think there are no rules!

weebairn · 17/03/2014 07:43

Probably! Mine started at 7 weeks first pregnancy and 5 weeks second pregnancy and in both cases was at its worst at 9 weeks. Fingers crossed!

chestnutmare · 17/03/2014 07:53

I'm 27 weeks now, and had no morning sickness at all, and I'm having a girl! None of the women in my family had ms, and a mixture of babies of both sexes.

mrsnec · 17/03/2014 07:54

Mine started at about 7 weeks and still here at 11+5. I wouldn't say it's got any better or worse.

eurochick · 17/03/2014 07:56

Mine didn't start until about 9 and a half weeks and wasn't too bad. Just nausea, no actual vomiting.

puddymuddles · 17/03/2014 08:00

I had no morning sickness for either pregnancy. Have 2 girls.

BikeRunSki · 17/03/2014 08:00

Hyperemisis in both pg - one ds, one dd

I said something about "escaping ms" in my first pg around 7 wks. I was in hospital with hyperemisis a week later.

Thanks for all your replies! Sounds like it can be totally hit and miss then, I shall keep my fx and hope im not a late developer for MS!

I haven't has ms with either of mine except a mild queasiness for the first week. One dd one tbc

Writerwannabe83 · 17/03/2014 08:56

My MS (and having a boy) started off with nausea from about 9 weeks onwards. The actual vomiting stage didn't kick in until I was about 14 weeks and it it was awful. I hope you avoid it but don't count your chickens just yet.... Smile

peppercold · 17/03/2014 12:06

Nausea started at 8 weeks, always afternoon though!

Loopylu84 · 29/04/2018 23:18

Just found this going back through all the threads I've posted on

I never got the morning sickness.....and it was a boy!
Then I got pregnant again a couple of years later and got morning sickness.....and it was a boy!

You never can tell 😆

Mine was pretty mild in the first trimester, back with a vengeance in the last tri though

Seahorse146 · 30/04/2018 13:27

So far I haven't had any. I fully expected to be awful as I am sick super easily normally.
I hope it doesn't all kick in at the end!
