Fetal length measurement

Was just looking at my anomaly scan details and it said baby's fetal length is 28.8mm and that was at 18wks+6

Looking at average fetal lengths, baby shouldn't measure this until 23wks. I'm now 22wks+4 so will baby be fairly big and should I be worried?

Was your baby lying straight or with legs raised? Could be difference between measuring top to rump and top to foot. I don't know much about it but was reading about baby lengths and one website said they transition between the two measurement styles at about 20 weeks because the babies tend to straighte out then. My little one at 18+2 was all curled up so would have been top to rump.

From 20wks babies are usually measured from crown to heel so at 23wks baby should measure what mine did at 18wks+6.

If they were measuring mine from crown to rump and it was 28.8mm then that would be HUGE!!

I've had 2 PV bleeds so wondering whether that might be the cause of them. I'm booked in to have a growth scan at 28wks so I guess I'll find out then. It's a long time to wait though....

I dont think your reading that right chuck as being 28.8mm means your baby is just below 3cm :s do you mean cm? If not then whoever told you that has written the wrong thing in x

Yes you're right!! It's 28.8cm, my typo!

Does anyone have any reassurance? Even 28.8cm at 19wks is a large measurement for crown to foot. Do you think they made a typo??
