Repeat scans after 20 weeks

I've been booked to have repeat scans at 24, 28, and 32 weeks due to abnormal blood flow to uterus which was picked up at 20 week scan. The sonographer wasn't really able to tell me anything... Anyone else been through the same thing, and should I be worried? Also been told to take aspirin every day.

I have to take aspirin aswel but thats becuase im a high risk of preeclampsia due to kidney probs. it thins ur blood abit like warfarin but not too much. Im sure everything will be ok they just want to keep an eye on you. I see my midwifes everytime ive had a scan so ive always found out if theres nething. Speak to ur local mw see what she says x

I'm having this. At 20 weeks one of my arteries was normal and one was not. Back this week for 24 week scan. Been on asprin since nuchal scan due to low pappa a levels. No one seems overly worried, its just a precaution.

Thanks for making me feel like I'm not alone. Going to look up the phone no for my midwives this eve and call them for more of an explanation, see if they can provide more info too.

Extra scans are a nuisance, like they are just determined to find something wrong!

Look after yourself.

I have to have the extra three growth scans too. I find it reassuring to check the baby is still growing well. Very rarely they find the baby is not getting what they need and it is occasionally better for the baby to be delivered prematurely. Mostly everything is fine and it is just a check that the medication is working.

I'll let you know if I learn anymore at my scan on Wednesday.

thought id say hello. I'm 20+6, on aspirin due to notching on my right uterine artery, I'll be having growth scans 4 weekly from 26 weeks to keep an eye on baby. the aspirin should help the blood flow more freely through the placenta. not sure if yours is the same as mine but I've spoken to a couple of mums who have had the same as me and aspirin seems to do the trick xx

Had my 24 week growth scan today. Growth is good, uterine resistance still a little high so I am back in at 28 weeks. No one seems worried, they seem to think it is a red herring.

I wouldn't be overly concerned at this stage as these scans are usually to monitor changes. If it was anything to be co concerned about you would have been passed to a specialist.
They just want to keep an eye on baby's progress.
