I'm 16 weeks pregnant, currently living and working overseas. Are there any other pregnant expats out there? Any tips on being pregnant and away from friends and family?

That sounds great Boo. It's a difficult one for me, my local general is small but modern. It has lots of English speaking staff and very short waiting times in comparison to the next nearest. I got great care from them when I had an illness apart from relentless admin, but they weren't very sensitive with my mc last year and were judgemental about a previous termination but I think thats cultural also the two private clinics locally often end up sending patients to the general anyway.

We have room for my parents and they normally come and visit around the time I'm due anyway but it wouldn't do any harm if we have a bit of time on our own first that's a good idea maybe I'll get them to book a week after my due date and if they're already here and I go over that's a bonus. My dh has his own business and no staff so it'll be interesting to see how that's going to work!
