Hav'nt posted for a while buti trust the mumsnet wisdom. Im 36.6 eeks gone and have an elective c section booked on 1st of Sept due to displaced pelvic bones

HOWEVER

i havnt had a good nights sleep since i hit 30 weeks and feel like tearing my hair out most nights with the frustration of it all. I have two toddlers to look after too. So like it or not im gonna try some tips to bring on Labour early.

Have just taken two 500mg raspberry leaf tablets and rubbed some clary sage oli in my belly. Wanna stick with me and see if anything happens?????? Off for yet another walk now to help move things too although ive been doing this everyday for weeks now.

raspberry leaf tea is more effective taken in leaf form - if you have any health shops nearby they should stock some

ummm
if you are having a section, why are you taking these things? 'scuse my ignorance, thought they were to prepare uterus for vag birth???

Just using any tips to try and bring on labour, baby is a healthy wieght now and im really struggling with the pregnancy, looking after the toddlers and mainly the lack of sleep.

There was a topic on tips to bring on labour here and both of the two products were recommended as is the usual curry, sex, castor oil etc. All ive done is lots and lots of walking but thought id try some other methods as just so exhausted today but i know as sooon as i get to bed the restless leg symdrome and half hourly trips to the loo will set in and it will be gone 2am before i get any sleep.

completely understand! I'm 32 weeks with a 19 month and nearly 5 year old.....have you tried fresh pineapple?

mrsmaddyd · 14/08/2006 18:12

And if i should go into labour early then all i have to do is phone the hosp so they can prepare theater. Which i was told last week as baby has engaged so said i could go into labour anytime and may not last till Sept 1st

Hiya Hana, no not as yet? Thought that may just give me upset stomach so thats why im steering clear of castor oil too. Funny thing grapes were mentioned on the other thread and i eat tons of grapes every day . Are you struggling too with the heat etc??

Good luck
I tried everything - spicey food, raspberry leaf tea, sex, pineapple, etc etc.
Nothing.......

Reckone they only come when they're good and ready...

heat not so bad anymore - dds are in jeans and long tops today and I was seriously considering putting heat on just to get rid of dampness. Hosepipe ban, ha!! I'm not sleeping v well either, but want to wait another month or so before I try any remedies like yours
good luck....!

Hiya MaddyD long time no speak, hope you are ok and hope everything goes swimmingly with number 4.

Do you know what you are having ?

mrsmaddyd · 14/08/2006 18:18

I had curry and then mild braxton hicks for a few hours yesterday. Ive been getting braxtons for the past hour but they are mild.

I had curry at about 26 weeks as its what i fancied and had 3 strong contractions afterwards, took my breath away, so have been scared to eat it since

MarsLady · 14/08/2006 18:26

OOh that clarysage oil stinks to high heaven. One of my mums asked me to rub it onto her back..... ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

However, she seemed happy with it. Me... I was glad to wash my hand and rub my lovely scented cream on lol.

Hope all goes well for you mrsmaddyd

Ive tried everything except for clary sage, even the castor oil did not work, I would not recommened it either, it gave me the runs and made me sick.

Is diarrhea a sign of early labour does anyone know?

nicky1975 · 14/08/2006 20:20
