I bought a pillow from mothercare today, I asked in store for advice (totally useless)- got it home and its rubbish and doesn't even do what I wanted it to. Ive no idea if I can return it, now its open, anyone know?

I need a pillow that sits between the knees and support the bump, what do you recommend?? Im gutted I cant use it tonight!

No idea, you need to look online at their return policy. Or on your receipt.

Was it a dream genii by any chance? I had one and hated it. It isn't designed for tall women so getting it under the bump also required wedging it up my fanjo rather than between my knees!

receipt is not clear. I bought a mothercare own brand multi purpose pillow, its banana shaped. Its useless in bed, and its poor quality & lumpy so rubbish back support.

I've just bought the original theraline... amazon reviews looked quite good. I'm hoping it will help me sleep better at night and stop the hip pain!

PuppyMummy · 13/03/2014 18:47

if it doesn't do what its supposed to they might refund it for you. id try taking it back.

I am just using a normal (old so not really plump) pillow which I put between my knees and then tuck a bit under my bump. seems to work well!

I love my pillow it's called by Carla heat regulating cuddle me pregnancy pillow, you can get from eBay or Amazon or if u get the bounty offers via email it's been on there a few times for only £19.99 x

I've got a v pillow (£15 from Dunelm) and it's perfect for what you describe. One bit between knees and other bit under bump :)
If the one you bought is crap, just take it back and ask for refund.

I have the theraline, it's really good. Although I do get pain in my left hip from sleeping on that side all the time :(
I also have a memory foam pillow to help support the bump which helps too.

I got a 12ft u-shaped pillow from eBay with my first pregnancy, it was fantastic. Going to buy another one soon now my bump is getting bigger.

It supports back, legs and bump. Nice choice of pillow cases to go with it too.

I have the dream genii and I LOOOOOOVE it. It's hard cuz the perfect pillow for one person does the next person. Confused

ChicaMomma · 14/03/2014 12:29

The banana shaped ones are completely useless for bed!

i got this one in Argos and it's great- the 'straight' long one- i just snuggle into it, supports me all over. And it was cheap!

I bought a widgey and a dreamgenii for a totall of 70 and neither is working very well for me.

My cheap-o argos pillow is a DREAM! It may not win any awards in the beauty department, but it means a better nights sleep & its also ace to prop yourself up with on the settee!

Writerwannabe83 · 14/03/2014 13:57

My dad bought me one from Mothercare and it's totally crap!!

It looks like a half deflated balloon with no rhyme or reason to it's shape. It has been of absolute no benefit Grin

mewkins · 14/03/2014 17:57

Yeah I have a dream geni from first pregnancy and it hurt my back and hips! Usefulish for after the baby is born but I wouldn't recommend.
