I went to see a midwife nearly 2 weeks ago who couldn't find the h/b on her doppler. I wasn't worried as I have felt some movement (early I know, am 17 weeks) but for last 3 days haven't felt a thing and had pain all night last night. Went to GP who fiddled with a doppler for a good 15 mins this morning but couldn't find h/b either so had to go to hosp.

Good news - baby fine. I still feel very uncomfortable though. Is anyone else feeling movements yet?

My ds hardly moved at all during my pregnancy.

I remember at this stage I'd go long periods of not noticing any movement, very disconcerting. Once I ate a VERY hot curry and had no movement for ages so was utterly convinced I'd killed the baby by eating too much chilli .

UCM...is that you ..!!

I have started a thread this morning about movements etc. I'm 16 weeks and have only really felt once what I can only describe as a trapped butterfly. This is my 2nd pregnancy and I can't really remember the movements I had with dd but looking in my diary from then I felt similar movements around 18 ish weeks.
I to thought I would feel things around now and am worried as I haven't felt anything. Some have said it's to early, some say it's because I'm slightly more over weight than with dd, some say it's to soon and some say it's even too soon to hear a heartbeat..

All I'm trying to say is that I feel the same and I'm worried shi#less..! Good news thought that you have had reasurrance..chill..xx
