A father that has an 18 & 20 year old from 1st marriage (with us) and a 2.3 year old with me.

I am 36. Thinking I would regret pushing it and things are good. Just starting to get 'that' feeling, plus DD will grow up an only as older Brothers will soon move out

oh go for it! as long as your dp wants to of course

i am 34, my dh is 42 and he has a 17 YO from a previous relationship, we also have my ds, 8, our dd, 4, together and expecting our dd2 soon.

he says having young dcs again makes him feel younger

47 is fine, lots of my friends have dps / dh's that age with babies and young dcs

My dad was 47 when I was born. I loved him v much & he was great. He died in my 20s due to health issues. I don't regret that -i would rather have had him for the time I had then a younger but not as loving or supportive father.

that is a massive generalisation mrsruffalo. at nearly 50, DH is still much fitter and in better shape that any bloke I know in their 30s. but then he's been into competitive sports his whole life.

I struggle to keep up.
