.. for a dry tickly cough.

What can I take? I've got Buttercup syrup, but that has a 'don't take before speaking to GP/midwife' on it, and Boots dry cough linctus, which doesn't mention pregnancy, only diabetics and children under 1.

Either of those alright?

My DH just bought me boots gylcerin and black current linctus which the pharmacist told him to get for me. It specifically says on there "can be used by pregnant women"

Great, thanks. Will go and get some tonight. Until then it's Worther's Originals.

Having a cough when of or bf is the worst, you can't take even most of the things in holland and Barrett. I hope the glycerin works for you, otherwise try to get more sleep, lots of fruit and hopefully throw it off.

Yes, unfortunately there isn't anything that you can take other than glycerin. Drink plenty of water too :)

Something I found fantastic after a friend recommends it: 1 teaspoon of honey and one teaspoon of tumeric- mix together to a paste- if you can stomach it swallow it like that, if not put a drop of water with it to make it a little more loose. It worked fab for me, and my midwife! (Told we about it and she did it when she ah a cough and couldn't believe how well it worked). Might take 2 doses, and tastes fowl, but works ;-)
