Does type of pregnancy have any bearing on nature of the child?

Had a great pregnancy with DC1 and in my opinion he's a lovely chilled and well-balanced child. Currently in 2nd trimester of a very difficult second pregnancy - have been ill and rundown for most of it and I can't help wondering if this will have a bearing on the baby and its nature - is this just me being paranoid?

I had a very stressful pg with Ds. He had reflux too so he was really miserable until we got his medicine sorted. Then he transformed into a sunny little boy who is full of smiles and cuddles :)

Try not to worry about that on top of your other worries!

I had an AWFUL pg with DS. 40 weeks of morning sickness, SPD, and bout of shingles !

He is the most pleasant, placid, smily baby ever try not to worry.

I had a terrible pregnancy and lots of extremely stressful moments from heavy bleeding, passing huge clots, 1:40 chance of downes, an amnio, more bleeding, low heartbeat panic, fell off a table, pre eclampsia, induction ... my boy is the most happy, chilled out kiddy and has been from day dot :) don't panic, sure all will be well. X

I had a very easy pregnancy and labour but my son is a Velcro baby! He's only 12 days though so I'm hoping he gets better. Think he's just adjusting to the big old world and being held comforts him.

Horrible, stressful pregnancy with ds - as a baby he was lovely, always laughing and smiling. He was a shit of a toddler though, Damian had nothing on him.........then he got lovely again and is now the most brilliant 11 year old ever.

I am hoping this baby is the same (just without the Damien phase please).

Well tbh you have every right to not be spoken to like that and your husband should rein it in.

Thanks for all your comments, that's reassuring! Aussie sorry to hear you're having a hard time of it. I can only say that house moves are stressful so hopefully once you're settled things will be a bit easier. Perhaps he's getting stressed as he's worried about protecting you and the baby - pregnancy is a time of massive change and emotion for women but also men. Not sure how or when you bring up his behaviour but try and do it when he's calmer, not in the heat of the moment, and also focus on how it makes you feel, rather than using 'accusing' language.
