Hi All, I am 22 weeks pregnant and think I may need some antibiotics from the doctor. Maybe there is a slightly wearker one for you if you are pregnant??

My GP prescribed amoxycyllin (Sp!) and said they are safe in pregnancy

Amoxycillin and all of that family are safe in pregnancy. Your GP will know which others are as well.

I had to have heaps of antibiotics for DD1, double strength for over a month in fact and intravenously at the end of the pregnancy. I always reminded the GP I was pg and how many I had taken so far and then double checked with pharmacist but it was always okay.

I'm 33 wks and just had a week of peniciliin. Doctor said it was 'very' safe. Will be having IV penicillin in labour too.
