Is pg or newborn phase harder with toddler?

Just clutching at straws looking for reassurance here!

Do you think the last stages of pg while looking after a toddler (18 months) are harder than looking after a newborn and a toddler?

I'm so tired I keep wishing thinking that surely things will be easier when I'm no longer pg?!

Yes it's the getting my body back and being able to do physical things easily that I an most looking forward to.

Hoping this one will be a better sleeper though!

I have 3 DC with a 26/29 month age gap and about to have DC4, giving me a 29 month age gap.

I can honestly say for me it is easier once baby is out. And that is including with DC2 who did not sleep and having had c-sections. A lot of my issue is that I have bad SPD and struggle to walk for more than five minutes from around 20 weeks, but even so. I sleep better even if it's fewer hours as I'm not in pain as the quality is better.

Now, once the newborn hits the toddler years, then it's bloody tough!

I def found it easier once the baby was born. I found manhandling a toddler when heavily pg very hard.

If your toddler naps then I recommend taking the baby to bed at the same time. Also made feeds a nice snugly time for dc1, with stories/jigsaws/TV.

Last few weeks of pregnancy. It was a struggle to chase and catch toddler DS. I was fine at the gym, but totally stuffed when it came to hauling a wriggly toddler around.

Once DD was out it was easier to handle DS again. She used to nap in the playpen so I didn't have to worry about DS standing on her. He wasn't at all bothered about having a strange new little person in the house.

It'll be easier when baby's here. Still hard but at meats you are you alone and better able to cope!! Trying to parent a toddler while carrying someone else inside you 24/7 is exhausting !!!
