hello all, I'm considering paying for an early scan and have found Perth Babyscan Studio which seems to do them for a mere £30! Has anyone used them? Is there any way which this could be a scam? thank yoooou

Thought I'd just follow this up in case anyone in the future was wondering the same question as me.. I went for my 8 week scan there and it was great, £35 and there was a doctor there as well as the sonographer, they took time to explain everything and do a lot of reassuring, (we were having it because I've had a previous miscarriage and was finding being pregnant pretty stressful) showing me all the other good signs (apart from size and heartbeat) that the pregnancy is going well and were generally lovely. I'd definitely recommend, couldn't have afforded the standard £100 for an early scan and I felt like I could properly enjoy being pregnant once I knew everything was ok (then, at least! countdown to 12 week scan is on!). I still don't know why they're so cheap but i don't care!

AVOID Baby Scan Studio Perth, also seems to be called 3d4d Babyscan Studio, Perth. I don't know if it's a scam, or they're just highly unprofessional.
I wanted to take my very sick mother to a scan, so I rang and made an appointment- double checked the appointment day and time twice. The website wasn't working, so I was assured I would be send a confirmation email with the choice of scans available.
Email didn't arrive, so rang again two days later. Spoke to an old man who didn't know how to send this info, so read it out over the phone, after moaning about his website, however he did confirm my appointment on Saturday. Again, I double checked as he first said 'see you Friday', so had to correct him.
Turned up Saturday, my frail mother also turned up, only for nobody to be at the address, leaving us outside on one of the coldest days of the year after a 40 mile drive. Despite telling me I had booked the last space that day, they were not in the office for my or any other appointment and no-one else seemed to be around. I rang and left messages, tried every door and buzzer available.
I received a call the following Monday to say 'someone' had cancelled our appointment. Nobody but my husband and I knew about it, so this seems like a lie to cover them not being there. I'm so glad I didn't pay in advance. No apology has been offered. I asked about a discount and he was outraged that I'd even ask despite me wasting 1/2 tank petrol with him not turning up.
