Sore groin!!!

I'm 34 weeks and Oh my god my groin!!! It's quite painful and it gives me a real strong achy feeling when I put on anything on my bottom half. Please don't tell me I'm the only one! It's a relief to sit with my legs wide open as it seems to stretch things out nicely Grin

SPD, my friend! Joyous, innit?! I feel like I've been kicked in the crotch by a shire horse wearing hobnail boots. The belt I got is helping and I can be on my feet for longer, but increasingly difficult to put tights/socks/boots on. I know there are folk out there on crutches and in tears, so I am holding on to the fact that it could be a lot worse (and hopefully won't get that way!).

there is physio out there to help, but I haven't found it hugely useful.
one thing you can do is to put a dusty between your knees and squeeze it for 30s. the inner thigh muscles well pull on the pelvis and help realign the two parts of the pelvis (they are rubbing and are inflamed, hence your pain). next place two fists between your knees and squeeze for 30s, and something longer (a forearm or a book) and squeeze.

so this several times a day and after a few days it should ease. mine did, but always sit down to put your clothes on.

of your stop doing the exercises, the pain comes back. The cure is childbirth, I'm afraid.

I had it from 14 (fecking) weeks.

Physio and the belt really helped.

And I'm pleased to say it eased off a little 2 days before dd made her entrance and was 100%, totally gone by the time I was being wheelchaired up to the ward post delivery.

The JOY at being able to hop onto the bed normally was JOYOUS Grin

I am suffering too Sad am 36+5 and thank god my last day at work was today i am in so much pain which is def worse since being back at work (was signed off for two weeks with spd). Every single movement hurts even squeezing my thighs together, cant do that for five seconds let alone thirty :-( lol
I am hopeful it will go once baba arrives! Smile

Another one in the sore groin club here! I was told to avoid doing things that parts my knees like getting out of bed/car one leg at a time or spreading legs (bad luck DH) and to go up stairs literally one at a time which is the most tedious thing. Does anyone know if it's made worse by periods of standing? I'm a teacher and it does seem to be worse after lessons Confused

I think i have this too...I'm 21 weeks and basically my groin is sore when i walk...fine when i'm sitting or standing...is this spd? I aggravated it badly by going to my first pregnancy yoga class last week. Not sure which exercises caused the problem tho as not painful during the class...but i had to hobble back to the car afterwards! Hope you feel better soon k8eee!
