11 weeks and getting strong braxton hicks

I am only 11 weeks with my 4th child, and since yesterday I have been getting strong braxton hicks contractions.

When laying down and they happen my womb is going high and rising out of pelvis area during them and is going really hard.

I cant seem to move without setting one off. Everything feels normal when they are not happening.

No bleeding at all.

I also have a urine infection, which I am on antibiotics for, but dont think they are helping. Not sure if this would trigger something like this to happen.

Any advice please would be nice..thank you

Goodness. Are you sure of your dates? Could you possibly be more than 11 weeks?

I'm sure i read somewhere that you get practice contractions (BH) every 20 mins from very very early on in your pregnancy.... when i was pregnant with ds i was aware of them from 16 weeks. But at 11 weeks isnt the womb still tucked down behind pelvic bone? - although only for a week or two more...

Sorry for the rambles! Hopefully someone will come along soon who can be more informative.

With each one the womb is rising up, and can feel it hard.

Cant be any further along really, as was charting, and doing ovulation sticks.

I have just phoned out of hours docs now...doc is ringing me back after he has taken some advice.

rest and paracetoml...probably the water infection causing it

Today I have no BH!

Been back to the docs today and the urine sample they sent off, didnt grow anything....but he tested my urine again today and there is still protein and nitrates in it...so not sure whats going on really.

I am the same 11 weeks had my first appointment next week got a scan Friday next week because I ain't to sure about my date I woke up this morning with bad contraction pin had two kids before so know the pain n didn't know we get braxrion hicks from 6 weeks but u don't feel them till 2nd or 3 Rd teiminister don't remember them hurting this much though my wildlife does think am a little further then I know though not long found out was a shock as they said I couldn't get pregnant no more and am 29 but boom it happens lol good luck hun hope it goes OK xz

I am 19 weeks and also had BH whilst being treated for a UTI! I read they can be caused by incomplete bladder emptying so I’m putting it down to the infection. My sample didn’t grow anything either but I was very symptomatic and had blood and leukocytes in urine so they treated me anyway. It was all a bit of a mystery but my symptoms definitely got better with amoxicillin.
