Vulval cyst?? One week to go

Tmi obv!

I'm 39+3 and this weekend a painful lump has come up on the edge of my vagina. I think it's some sort of cyst. It's about the size of blueberry and it's pretty painful.

I have the midwife tomorrow so il ask her to check it but any idea what it might be? Could it affect labour at all?

I think so. Dh took a look and said it just looked like a spot. It's quite hard when squeezed so I think it's more of a spot thing.

Sounds like a Bartholin's cyst OP. You should get it looked at at your GP's.. Can be painful (as you know :-0), but it's nothing serious. You may need ABs though.

Thanks jellybelly. Had a google and it does look like a bartholin cyst. Il book an app with the gp in the morning. Hope it goes before I go into labour!
