nub theory - any guesses?

had a 12 week scan yesterday and the baby was very still so got a very clear profile shot with a very obvious nub. so now it's driving me crazy trying to work out if it's a girl or a boy : )
my photo is uploaded on my profile
and i just wondered if anyone had any thoughts?

Girl by nub theory but has flat skull indicates boy.

I thought girls had flat foreheads and boys more sloping round ones? I think girl based on that. My boys baby scans the skulls were very rounded at 12 weeks.

Can't believe we have to wait for at least another 8 weeks to find out if we are correct or not! Are you going to find out at 20 weeks? Or wait until its born?

Boy based on angle of the dangle, looks like my boys nubs at that stage x

I'll find out at 20 weeks and give you an update! : )
This was actually a private scan but I have my NHS one on Monday at 13 weeks so if the picture is as clear I'll do a new one to check : )

I think nub for boy points up and for girl is horizontal? I accidentally found out about nub theory at about 14 weeks and got really upset because it indicated a boy and I've always wanted a little girl. My 20 week scan confirmed it but after a few hours of moping I realised that the baby being healthy is all that matters and am looking forward to meeting my little chap in a week or so!

I'm going for a girl...will be interesting to find out later. Funny how I wasn't interested in finding out yet spent the last 15 minutes studying the scan picture. Good luck with the scan.

I've guessed girl from my 12 wk scan, nub looks very horizontal. I could be biased, I've had a few dreams about having a girl.

DH thinks it's all a load of rubbish, but he is of the opinion his family only breeds boys so it'll be a boy! We have absolutely no preference and I think the guessing makes it a bit of fun!

Baby - don't tempt me!!
Scan again on Monday when I'll be 13 weeks. If baby poses nicely we might be a bit closer to finding out; I'll ask the sonographer and see!
