Hello. I am very excited as I have just got a BFP but I am new to all this. At risk of asking a stupid question-What do I need to do now?

Congratulations!

Come join us on the October antenatal thread (in the antenatal clubs section - sorry, can't link as on my phone).

Congratulations!

First stop for me was calling my GP to book in with the midwife - no rush, they might see you in until about 8 weeks (although they saw me at 4). She'll ask a lot of questions and maybe take some bloods and do wee and blood pressure checks.

If you haven't already get yourself a good pregnancy multi-vitamin, or at least folic acid and start taking straight away.

Do you think you might tell anyone your good news? We told parents and I told my 2 good friends - that's the best bit.

And then settle in for the looooong wait for your 12 week scan!

Fx for an easy, happy pregnancy! Thanks

Exciting times! My gp got me in for a quick appointment mainly to set up the official midwife one and advised taking folic acid. Also some (really quite random) instructions on what to eat. I recommend familiarising yourself with the sensible guidance on Nhs choices!

Hope you are feeling ok :)
