I'm surprised at how much I am putting on so early. I wasn't expecting it (5lbs so far, at 10 weeks).

I'm the same about 5 lbs and my BMI was 25 before pregnancy so it's normal range

lucyfluff · 04/02/2014 11:32

Ive put on half a stone at 11+3 Smile

Glad to really as I was way too skinny!!!

mrsmugoo · 04/02/2014 12:39

None at all - another reason I was so shocked to find out I was 13 weeks gone when I first found out!

MirandaWest · 04/02/2014 12:40

I lost weight in the first trimester both times but was being sick a lot so not surprising. More than made up for it in the other two trimesters though.

Writerwannabe83 · 04/02/2014 12:46

I didn't put any weight on in my first trimester. I was worried about it but my midwife said it can be perfectly normal. I'm now 32 weeks and have put on just under 2 stone.

mixi82 · 04/02/2014 13:00

None for me either. I'm into my second now and have only put on about 2kg which fluctuates throughout the day. MW said perfectly normal and don't expect to see a significant weight gain for quite some time

MrsGiraffe12 · 04/02/2014 13:22

I'm 9+4 and I've lost 8 pounds. I think every woman is different though so try not to worry xx

OrangeFizz99 · 04/02/2014 13:28

With my first two half a stone by 12 week mark.

This time at 8 weeks not one pound yet.

With dd1 I put on two stone in the whole pg and with dd2 two and a half stone of cake.

eurochick · 04/02/2014 13:43

An interesting range! A friend of mine has lost a stone due to HG, poor thing. That must be awful.

I think I'm heading for half a stone in the first tri. I was fairly slim when I started out and my weight has been stable all my adult life, so putting weight on and not doing anything about it is new to me.

Lost about 10lb in the first trimester of my successful pregnancies due to nausea reducing my appetite. Total gain by the end was 24lb for DS1 (39+1) and 17lb DS2 (35+5).

cupcake78 · 04/02/2014 13:56

Ds, none I lost 3 stone during pregnancy.

Dd put on about 2 stone. Put 5 stone on in total. I was 3 stone down within 4 weeks of having her.

I had HG with both pregnancies. That's what hormones did to meWink

sanschocolat · 04/02/2014 13:58

Don't worry! Everyone is different!

Like you, I was very thin pre-pregnancy but I put on 10kg in the first three months and my gynaecologist (on the continent - where they are very strict about weight) raised her eyebrows a bit ... . But I didn't put on much more after that so everything was fine in the end.

[I should add that I was absolutely starving in the first trimester. Dh actually got out of bed at 4am on a regular basis to make me ham, cheese and gherkin sandwiches because I couldn't make it through the night without refuelling Grin]

AK89 · 04/02/2014 18:02

I'm a bit worried cos I'm only 5+3 but I feel like I could eat everything in sight at all times! I've been keeping track of my weight but haven't checked recently or worked out how much I've put on.. Would be impossible to work it out properly anyway cos I def put weight on over Christmas too so don't know where I was at to start with! :/

ChicaMomma · 04/02/2014 18:08

I put on a stone in 14 weeks.. regret it now.. but thankfully my appetite has stabilised somewhat since, there was just no fililng me EVER during those first 14 weeks! I'm 21 weeks now and have put on very little since.

Flickstar · 04/02/2014 21:32

I'm 21 weeks and have put on 10lbs. I think 5lbs at 10 weeks is fine. I put on 4stone in my first pregnancy so am trying to curb it this time!

DownstairsMixUp · 04/02/2014 21:36

My first pregnancy i had gained about 4lbs by week 10. I'm nearly week 10 now though and have lost 2lbs due to morning sickness. :(
