Cyclogest - when did you stop using it?

Hi, if anyone has used the cyclogest inserts in pregnancy would you mind telling me at what point you stopped? I'm 11+2 today and my doctor has told me to stop them now but it seems early...

I stopped at 12 weeks exactly. Being hugely paranoid I queried it and was told that from about 10 weeks the placenta starts ramping up and produces far more progesterone than the cyclogest was giving me anyway...hope that helps x

Thanks Armadale, that really helps. At least it's not just me who is a bit paranoid! Did you go 'cold turkey' or did you just use half instead of a whole one for a few days? I've got three left so could use half a day until I'm 12 weeks... X

I just stopped.

No, plenty of paranoia here. Wishing you a safe and uneventful pregnancy Thanks

Cold turkey here. Considered half doses but was told no nedd

Thanks caramelgirl and Armdale! I love mn for this type of reassurance. I think I'll just use the last three over the next three days and then stop. The baby was actually measuring 11+ 4 today even though I'm technically 11+ 2 so another three days is more or less 12 weeks. Thanks again!
