How many weeks am I ?

I thought I was six weeks on weds but looking on the net just now and apparently I am five weeks on weds. Confused, last period was 25 dec what does that make me?

Doctors will count it from first day of last period so six weeks. X

Hmmmm couple of sites are saying first week of period doesn't count. I guess I will ask GP when I call tomorrow because they will ask me how far along I am and I will say I don't know....

Oh I think it's because my cycles 35 days....still confused.

If your cycle is lon the gp and midwife will count from last period date but you might not be 6 weeks.

Do you know when you ovulated? Add 2 weeks to that and you will get an accurate date. Your 12 week dating scan will be correct as it is calculated byte size of the foetus, not by no of weeks.

You don't need to know for sure. They won't ask you how many weeks, only for the date of your last period. They will give you your due date at your dating scan around 12 weeks I think. I am still not really sure how many weeks I am exactly. Only when my due date is. I have really short cycles. Congratulations by the way. Book in with a midwife for your 8th or 9th week :-)

Okay thanks, it's all such a mystery! So when I get my twelve week scan I may not even be twelve weeks as they are only estimating.

Yep but at your 12 week scan they measure and can adjust your due date. If it's too early they will rescan later. Although it seems to vary between 11-13 weeks so not always exactly 12 weeks.
