My 12 weeks said posterior and now my 20 week says anterior…hmmm confused. Help?

Hmm, I'd go with the 20wk scan - didn't think the 12wk routinely gave you placenta position?

I'd go with the 20 week scan too. However, I had 5 scans in one day at around 20 weeks while they tried to figure out my placenta position. I had bleeding on and off, and had been told previously that my placenta was close to my cervix.

The five scans (by 3 different docs) seemed to show my placenta as being everywhere - posterior, anterior, high, covering cervix! DS2 was not being helpful either.

It was only the final scan with the consultant that showed the placenta was on the left hand side, so depending on the angle its position seemed to change. It was pefectly normal, and showed me that scans aren't always as clear/definitive as you'd expect.
