WWYD? Pushchair dilemma

NavyKnickers · 02/02/2014 11:07

We chose and ordered a Bugaboo Cameleon 3 quite early on in my pg, having fallen in love with it and the fact that it came with a free carseat.
Fast forward a couple of months and we win a Mothercare Xpedior in Apple Green. (Not keen on the colour but a new colour pack is only £50).
So the dilemma is whether to buy the all singing all dancing bugaboo that we love but is alot of money, or stick with the mothercare version with less features etc that will cost very little but won't last as long.
Heart vs Head... what would you do?!

sell the mothercare one if your heart is set on your bugaboo? check out reviews of both also?

orangemouth281 · 02/02/2014 11:13

I would buy the bugaboo and sell the Xpedior. Not the sensible option but if you love the bugaboo you should have it!

Gileswithachainsaw · 02/02/2014 11:21

If probably just sell the MC one. But I would check reviews/ratings first and sell whichever one comes off worst.

It's like a Ford v BMW...

icklekid · 02/02/2014 12:22

I could help make the decision easier and take the mothercare one off your hands so you pretend you never won it!

Inglori0us · 02/02/2014 12:39

Cameleons are brilliant. You won't regret it esievialku as you'd already made the decision.

Sell the other one or do a good deed and give it away to a friend or donate it to a fundraising pr

Gah! Fat fingers posted too soon!
...fundraising project, a women's charity or a teenage mums charity or something.

Or just keep it if you have space so you have a spare buggy or it can live at grandparents house?

Inglori0us · 02/02/2014 12:44

Oh FFS. Autocorrect, what is eseivelku??? Meant to say especially.

I'm going for a rest in a dark room. (:

another vote for selling mothercare one here! I had my heart set on an icandy & so glad we remortgaged tge house to buy it Grin

Check out which is the safest car seat which works with the pushchair. Please don't assume all car seats are the same just because they are sold in the shops. A good car seat can be the difference between the life and death of your child if you have an accident. The pushchair should be your second decision after the car seat.

I wanted a Bugaboo but could afford an Expedior. The Expedior is ok and I liked the fact that it switches from carrycot to pushchair with just a few strap adjustments. But to me it felt just that bit too wobbly/unsturdy.
The Bugaboo is sooo smooth to push and just feels sturdier. If I had the option I would sell the Mothercare.
Personally I didn't get either and went for something completely different! Smile

Christelle2207 · 02/02/2014 15:45

Sell the mothercare or leave it at gps as a spare. If unused the resale value should be high.

onedev · 02/02/2014 16:02

Agree with the others - sell Mothercare one & keep bugaboo. I have a chameleon & absolutely love it. Fantastic pram!
