Have very recently started TTC #2. I do Zumba twice a week and have done for about six months. I dont know what to do re.classes? I would like to continue until I fall pg and re-assess with a view to continuing as long as I feel well enough.

Does anyone do Zumba in their oregnancy?

I did Zumba up until I was 6 month pg, then we moved out of the area, otherwise I would have continued.

I made sure the instructor knew I was pg, and asked the midwife if it was okay to continue with Zumba.

I think as long as ur sensible, and drink lots, know when to stop/slow down, a bit of gentle exercise is encouraged.

Good luck!

Great video and good to know someone else has done it too.

Up to six months would be great, and I am sure theud be ok with me being pg and just pacing myself.

I'm a Zumba instructor and actually stopped teaching when I found out I was pregnant. I was carrying an Achilles injury though and had terrible nausea so this contributed.

However, I would not allows pregnant ladies in my class. I am not covered by my insurance nor do I have pre/post natal qualifications. If a participant really wanted to continue normally instructors make you sign a disclaimer saying it's at your own risk. Personally I wouldn't take you in my class but some will.

Just be careful as pregnancy makes your joints soft as everything is shifting so take extra care and maybe decrease the intensity (most instructors probably show low impact alternatives in some routines-I do)

I had to give up Zumba merely because of a time clash but I did body attack and body combat up until 36 weeks, although I stuck to low impact options. After that I got a bit uncomfortable I stuck with just body pump 3 times a week and did my last class today. Am planning on doing pregnancy yoga everyday for the next two weeks, which will take me up to my due date. I've been doing all these classes for years so I felt fine and made the necessary adjustments.
