I hope everyone suffering from the Horrors of Hyperemesis will find this thread useful as a source of support and information.

There's no TMI on here - can't be by definition - and nobody should feel ashamed of moaning as much as they feel the need to.

MOH's wonderful website is full of useful information on this illness:
sites.google.com/site/pregnancysicknesssos/
Another invaluable website is:
www.pregnancysicknesssupport.org.uk/
If you need help in obtaining medication, this phone number is
brilliant:
024 7638 2020

I would like to thank Everyone who has given such invaluable support and advice on this and on previous threads.

Remember when you are at your worst, 'This Too Shall Pass'. It really will.
So many women on this thread have thought they couldn't get through this, but they did.

Anything to make you smile lucinda! Even while you're puking. Off to MIL and FIL today for a bit of company while dh does some quoting up.
Im starting to get a little constipated now Blush been taking senokot but it doesn't seem to be doing a lot. Mw gave me some sapositories (sp?!) But I'm a bit scared if them!!! Anyone else had to use them? Help! Blush BlushBlush

LucindaE · 08/03/2014 12:26

mrsb87 Sad. I think Vaseline might be the thing. Kalidasa and many others used them, but it seems very quiet on here this morning.

Erm, I've had a strange morning...

Woke up c.6.30am (as usual), was peckish so nibbled a couple of dried apricots. Felt nauseous. So tired that I fell back to sleep.

Woke up c.10.30am... bit nauseous, but nothing near as bad as its been over the last few months. This felt very weird so I started worrying (I know, I'm nuts!!). Nibbled bits of melba toast. It stayed down. Really started panicking.

c.11am, still not sick, ate slice of toast dh made for me. Plus couple more dried apricots. All stayed down. Took metoclopramide and it has stayed down too.

Now it is 12.30pm and I'm still in bed (too scared to get out!!) sipping some apple tea. Still not feeling half as nauseous as I have been for months.

It's the most bizarre feeling to be sitting here worrying about the fact that I haven't been sick yet... and too scared to do anything in case I feel sick!! Argh!!! Honestly, I feel like my own worst enemy sometimes.

Also so nervous in case this is some sort of weird blip Confused

Tallyra · 08/03/2014 12:49

Don't be worried starry, it does happen sometimes. Fingers crossed it leads to a better period!!!

mrsb87 · 08/03/2014 16:29

Phew, no need to panic. All done no need to put anything up the exit only door!

LucindaE · 08/03/2014 18:40

mrsb87 Good Smile.
Starry So agreee with Tallyra It's probably just a good day, a very likely sing of the turnaround to come. Waves to Tallyra and Everyone.

Haha sorry if tmi.

Seems very quiet today, where is everyone? Hope you're all having a lovely day out or something!

ChaffinchOfDoom · 08/03/2014 18:59

just in from last day of work - and It was lovely Smile everything seemed to go very smoothly and got spoiled with 2 fab new mother spa treatments Grin

livingzuid · 08/03/2014 19:10

Oh nice chaffinch! And starry you are reaching the big turnaround point so yes, it should be getting better for you. Exciting :)

Went to see a friend today. Lithium increase is good! Had a much better nights sleep. Sleep helps everything. Got told off by some overpainted old windbag (meerka may know the type) for picking up my ratbag of a dog by the scruff of his neck (which he is well used to) to put him on my lap as I can't easily bend down any more. I have zero patience and tolerance for people and I had to content myself with giving her the finger Blush I would have decked her if I could.

Now tired and a bit nauseous. Hope everyone is having a nice evening.

LucindaE · 08/03/2014 19:12

Mrsb87 No such thing as tmi on here! Saturdays are often quiet. It would be nice if people are having fun!
Chaffinch That's well deserved - congratulations on ml starting.

Thanks all! I hope so! I actually went outside the flat today (so exciting and so special that I feel compelled to whisper it rather than say it out loud) and dh and I walked a little way around a local little park. It was warm. It was blissful to be outside. It has been a couple of weeks since I last left the flat - which is a small studio and the only other room is the bathroom - so to not feel like a caged battery hen is a feeling that is hard to express. Even if it was only for a little while.

So tired now and nauseous, but still happy :-)

living well done on sticking up for yourself!!

starrynight123 · 08/03/2014 20:23

Ugh. Stupidly had some crisps - upset stomach :-( But still happy I got to go outside earlier!!!!

LucindaE · 09/03/2014 09:14

Starry So glad you got out 0 Sad about feeling like a caged hen.
That's unlucky about the crisps, at one point they were my staple diet
along with flat coke Shock.
How is Everyone?

Today is such a lovely day! It should be for walking the dogs, finding a lovely pub by the river and a cider..... ho hum!

Meerka · 09/03/2014 20:34

uff, getting quite upset sometimes over things I can usually handle reasonably well ... is it the hormones? So so so tired of feeling rotten-nauseous every evening, though I'm not upchucking that much. just can't handle it any more, even though it's the home stretch of the preg.

waiting and waiting for builders to finish the work, I can\t get into son's room for all teh stuff stacked there from other rooms, stuff is all over the house just waiting for the work to be done then we can arrange things ...

petitlapin1 · 09/03/2014 21:45

3 productive days (lunch and coffee out, soft play with friends toddler, pizza takeaway with friends, cooking, painting and digging in the garden!) with minimal nausea, a few hours of normal energy each day and only the morning bile run vomits...

Baby is still kicking so I guess everything is OK... Weekends like this make me both very happy and slightly sad for all the other days non-hg people must have like this... But mostly happy! Only 10 and a bit weeks till d-day, seems manageable on days like today.

Booboostoo · 10/03/2014 07:39

I survived Sunday lunch! I didn't eat much but it was actually quite nice to see friends and it took my mind off the nausea a bit. Off to nuchal scan today so fingers crossed!

Meerka · 10/03/2014 07:46

good luck boo!

another lovely day today, weatherwise

mrsb87 · 10/03/2014 08:00

meerka so sorry it seems like you're having a stressful time of! I bst its hard with your nesting instincts kicking in but you're relying on other people to get the jobs done, nightmare!!

Well done petitlapin what a successful weekend! I can't wait to get busy again.

Well I managed to go out to the pub, dh and I shared a light lunch and some chips and a lovely pub on the river Severn. We sat outside too, it was lovely! No cider obvs but a lovely j20. A vom free day too, perfect Smile

Meerka · 10/03/2014 12:28

that sounds absolutley lovely mrsb .. one of those days that keeps you going :)

livingzuid · 10/03/2014 12:38

Well done everyone on productive weekends! It is BEAUTIFUL here at the moment and we managed a couple of walks in the park to enjoy the weather which looks like going crap again in a few days. Hope this wasn't summer....

Maybe the sun has a positive impact on hg?

meerka that's miserable not being comfortable in your own home even without being pregnant and hg it's not fun to have all of that going on. No more smoking in the house I hope? When are they due to finish? Not long now though :)

Well I had another horrible migrane late yesterday afternoon and it went all through the night, nearly vomited. Woke up at 12 gasping for air and didn't sleep again till 4.30ish. I had to sit bolt upright for about two hours to sort my breathing out.

Then thumping upstairs by those slimes woke me up again after DH had gone to work. Sometimes I wish I could strap speakers to the ceiling and blast them away through space. DH is going to speak to citizens advice to find out what we can do about persistent noise problems.

Still, we have estate agents coming round this week and next week so flat will finally go on the market. DH is going to sell it at a loss just so we can move out of here.

Braved some more paracetamol which has removed the last of the headache. It's funny being awake in the middle of the night, I can feel the baby move so much more. She tends to sleep during the day, although I get the odd nudge :) It is reassuring but I honestly don't think I'll relax until she's here. Thank god for MN distraction I did a lot of reading last night!

And finally, need to prepare for my mum's visit. About to order a ton of stuff from the UK for her to bring over. Am all ready for my job interview tomorrow too. No idea what to wear coat-wise as I think winter coat will be too heavy? Nothing much else fits apart from a scruffy cardigan. My suit jacket I can get on it just doesn't do up Grin Maybe I can hide it before I get there.....

livingzuid · 10/03/2014 12:39

Oh a pub lunch by the river with a nice cold beer. Or chilly glass of white wine....

livingzuid · 10/03/2014 12:41

should have said right now I am pretending with a icy cold tonic water and lemon. I can imagine just a hint of gin in there too....funny how I am really craving a bit of booze particularly given I hardly ever drank pre pregnancy!

LucindaE · 10/03/2014 13:27

*Booboostoo Good about lunch - I hope scan all went well?
Meerka You poor thing - hugs - thi8s is an endurance test for those hwo DON'T have to suffer it throughout, no wonder you're fed up.
livingzuid I do hope that migraine's gone - don't know how you avoid puking with them, since Hyperemesis I puke with a vengence with mine -
it's so maddening about the neighbours. Does the sale have to be at a loss>
Mrsb87 I'm so glad you had a lovely trip to the pub by the river, and chips Smile.
petitlapin That sounds so energetic - but digging? Mother Hen's worried you'll overdo it.
Apologies to anyone rudely overlooked, or cross posted with...
