You won't be able to tell until you're much further along I don't think - google images of pregnant women 30+ weeks and you can see the different ways and shapes bumps seem to take :)

is there any truth relating to gender from how you're "carrying"

Strange as it sounds though the one old wives tale that has been true for anyone I asked was hair, I'm quite hairy and the hair on my legs barly grew at all I hardly had to shave them and much less then normal and had girls, it was true for my other girl friends aswell even though it does seem stupid

As Rockchick says, that's something for later on. If you're carrying high it just means you have stronger stomach muscles and tighter ligaments, and it's also partly to do with your shape (whether baby has room inside your abdomen or has to pop out front). Usually people carry lower in their second and subsequent pregnancies, things stretch... Nothing to do with gender.

ive been neglecting my legs. showers purely bare minimum to be clean. think ive shaved them abt 3 or 4 times in the last 9wks (been too tired/nauseous to spend time doing them) cant really tell by growth rate lol. good job its winter & my partner doesnt really care & im very fair
