Hospital appt at 34 wks and kept in for 24 hrs monitoring

I heard of someone recently going for her regular 34 week checkup in the hospital. However they kept her in for 24 hrs for monitoring. Just wondering what the issue might have been... High blood pressure? She's ok now by the way.
