You have my sympathy, I am 7 weeks and since last week the nausea has been awful! I am tired as well and I find when I am not pg that can make me feel sick. Today it doesn't seem so bad but I have eaten more as I feel starving hungry but up until a few days ago I had lost my appetite.

Travel sickness bands really helped me when I was pg with DS and also things with ginger in them especially a cordial from Holland & Barrett. I did find I also had to eat my way through it and the hungrier I was the more sick I felt.

I'm really trying to lose weight at the moment (on a mw approved diet) but feeling sick all day isn't an option when I have DS to run around after I just try to eat as healthy as I can.

I was sick every day up to about 4 months, and then it stopped almost over night. I was fine as long as I lay in bed, but the minute I put foot to floor I was back and fro to the toilet every hour - in work too, both pregancies.

Some people are sick for the whole 9 months I believe, but you probably don't want to hear that so I'll cross it out.

So I need ginger cordial/tea, travel sickness bands and to just eat anyway? its the tiredness I am struggling with too, could get on with the nausea if I had the energy to move off the sofa. have a 3 year old who has been in front of a screen all day Sad

Sorry just to add (and answer your question) last time it went at around 14 weeks but everyone is different. I hope it goes soon for you it's miserable when you feel so crappy Thanks

Onlymydogunderstandsme · 28/01/2014 15:44

Try to rest when you can, I try to have a sleep in at the weekend when DH is around. Don't beat yourself up if your 3 year old has to watch a bit of extra tv. Hopefully the tiredness should pass soon and you will feel a bit more back to normal.

LadySnapcase · 28/01/2014 15:45

Mine went at about 10 weeks, was horrendous before that. I used to find I could only stomach fruit, apples were pretty good, and grapes, so at least there was something in my stomach. Ginger never helped though Sad but worth a try, some people have more luck! The tiredness was crippling too, but improved about week 12 if I remember right. Hope you feel better soon and try to resist the urge to punch the fiftieth person to tell you 'it'll be worth it in the end' Hmm

lizziekal · 28/01/2014 15:49

Ha ha ha (evil snicker). Well if you're lucky around 14 weeks, mine went for a blissful couple of weeks (18-20ish) before returning, now nearly 30 weeks and still feel like I've got a permanent sicky hangover.

puddleduck16 · 28/01/2014 15:53

At 37 weeks I'm still suffering. Sorry!!! I look on the bright side that not once have I actually vomited!! As others have said, as long as my tummy isn't empty it is controllable.

muddylettuce · 28/01/2014 15:56

I was sick from 5 weeks to 23...sorry :(
Hugs. X

Trinpy · 28/01/2014 15:56

I had sickness everyday up until 20 weeks and now again from 30 weeks. What worked for me is keeping lots of little snacks with me - ginger biscuits, nuts, dried fruit, cereal bars, etc - and just picking at tem throughout the day.

If you have any parts of the day when the nausea eases, use this time to eat a decent meal, get plenty of fluids, and take your folic acid (though don't beat yourself up if you are too sick to do this).

If it gets really bad then you can see your gp and get some anti sickness tablets. They didn't work for me (I could never manage to keep them down Confused ) but I know they work for others.

sarahquilt · 28/01/2014 16:47

17 weeks for me.

bugoven · 28/01/2014 18:08

serotonin I felt awful pretty much from week 4 and it was so bad last week I cried a lot and missed a day anda half of work. I am now 8-9 weeks and it has eased. I just feel a bit queezy and still have the aversions to foods I used to love. Currently cooking a very meaty cottage pie to satisfy a sidden hunger.

My worry now is that as my symptoms have eased off is everything ok? ladysnap you saying yours went at 10 weeks has reassured me a little. Besides, I suppose it could come back tomorrow! Ot was definitely worse when I was tired and I have been restong a lot since Thursday.

Jolay100 · 29/01/2014 17:30

About 12 weeks I think. I saw my1st scan and felt better, but that might have been co incidence

tinkerbellvspredator · 29/01/2014 17:42

I had all day nausea up to 16 weeks with my first, nothing worked except fatty, sugary food (hot chocolate particularly good). Could not stomach healthy snacks at all! For the first 2 weeks after finding out I was shovelling down nuts, fruit and all sorts of healthy baby growing stuff and then 8 months of crap Smile

Gio0607 · 29/01/2014 19:08

Oooh you poor thing. I had terrible nausea and sickness from 7-13 weeks, feeling much better now at 17+4 but it's not over (was sick on Saturday and today). The nausea has gone though. With me it's very much routine - lack of sleep or eating too little or too late aggravates it. I tried ginger biscuits, travel sickness bands etc and I'm afraid to say that nothing worked. It's a waiting game. Good luck!

SweetPea86 · 29/01/2014 19:12

I'm 29 weeks still sick and nauseous although it's calmed down it's the most depressing thing in the world, I hope it passes for you soon :(

RedPencilPot · 29/01/2014 21:30

I was still throwing up at 28 weeks!

icklekid · 30/01/2014 05:49

I think you get to a point when you accept it may nit stop...I'm on medication which stopped it being 6/7 times a day to 2/3. Am now 17 weeks and normally feel awful morning and evening only sick in eve if this is constant now I can live with it. Learnt not to try and eat in evenings to cope. Everyone is different though!
