Is there any brand of TENS machine that is better than the others? Or are they all much of a muchness. The ones I've found for rental online are Boots, Elle, Mama TENS and MamaTENS My Time. Any recommendations?

I used boots for mine, some have extra features on I think I plumped for the middle of the road.

The booster was good for contractions, I used for both DC I think for me it essentially mainly that it was a good distraction so personally I wouldn't pay loads.

Hiya i have just hired an elle tens machine from birthease.co.uk 7weeks hire for £21.95 obviously havent used it but elle tens has been recommended in previous posts i think. I have read some good reviews about it but wont get mine for another week or so then i can have a play with it.

Oh thanks, might have a look at their site as that's cheaper than Boots or Mothercare.

Have you checked with your hospital? Some do rentals.

It seems a good deal as they send you packaging to send it all back in which others dont so one less thing to worry about after baby is here

That does look like a good deal. It comes with 4 electrode pads - will that be enough or should I get some spares?

Im not going to get spares but ita up to you i guess, as long as you put the sticky bit back on after you have tested them and ur back is dry etc they should be ok to use when labour starts but its up to you :-)
