37 weeks period pain

Hello all,
This is absolutely probably nothing but this afternoon I've been getting on and off period like pains in my lower abdomen and back. I'm 37+3. Is it just likely to be one of those things? They are pretty often but not in a regular pattern and not really that sore but enough to make me stop and notice them.

I haven't had a show or lost any plug so its v unlikely to be the start of anything serious isn't it? Apparently the baby is nicely engaged so is it probably just his head annoying me?

I take it I will definitely know when contractions start?! I feel so clueless!!

I've had them on and off since last Monday and I'm STILL pregnant I'm 39 weeks tomorrow!

Well it's usually a good sign of the start of an early labour sequence over a few days/weeks period pains, lower backache, a show, then more regular contractions

Thanks, it's calmed down now so must have been a bit of headbutting!
