So I am 36 weeks and 3 days. This morning I went for a walk and half way I got this really bad pain in my lower stomach but on the right hand side. It felt like a stitch but was quite painful. It was really hurting to walk. Just wondering what it could be or if anyone else has experienced this. I know it wasn't a contraction as it was at the side and it didn't come and go.

I'm only 29 weeks and I have been getting this when I walk sometimes for about a month!

I told my midwife it was like and incredibly painful stitch, only slightly lower down and when it comes I gave to walk very slowly and clutch that bit of my bump. She said it's probably a muscle that took a funny position and didn't stretch out properly when I started walking. She said as long as it stops when I stop then I shouldn't worry about it.

Mention it to yours, will be interesting to see if they say the same. I do get it on the left hand side too sometimes but never both at once. Very strange!

I've had this as well, I put it down to round ligament pain, it was okay if I lay in the fetal position for a bit, if I tried to stand up straight it was worse. But it went away after a few minutes, and babe's still kicking away in there!

Yep i've been having the same thing for the last week, im 30+6 today and its pretty painful. I also get the same pain a small way up on the left hand side of my bump. I have dodgy ligaments and my consultant told me this is what is most likely the cause.
