Hiya,

My swimming costume doesn't really fit any more. Is there such a thing as maternity costumes? Or should I just buy a bigger size? I need one I can have a proper swim in without the straps falling off my shoulders, my boobs popping out etc!

Thanks!

I got a maternity tankini from mamas and papas - it looks like a swimming costume when it's on but I find they fit much better.

I got a maternity one from figleaves which is great. It wasn't cheap but was the best of the ones I tried (also tried mothercare and verbaudet)

tankini or crop-top bikini ?

I bought a maternity tankini from jojo recently in the sale - might still have some left? It was £10 :)

Sports Direct has one made by Slazenger, only a tenner, I bought one yesterday, haven't actually tried it out yet though! But a tenner's pretty good.

I have a zoggs maternity tankini. Great for proper swimming - I usually do a mile of crawl. Jojo do some nice tankinis which I've got for messing about on holiday/beach/taking DD swimming.
A tankini may be a bit more flexible in the bump dept as you expand.

ASDA! Really love mine and it's nice and cheap too.

puddleduck16 · 26/01/2014 17:36

As per snowlet I got the Slazenger one. I find its great, lasted really well as I go 5-6 times a week and worn it for the past 20 weeks. ITs really allowed for bump and boob growth!!

RaRa1988 · 26/01/2014 17:38

Could you just wear a bikini? I normally wear one, mine's still fine at 20+3 (though my boobs are a bit more in your face Grin ), and should fit for a good while yet as the bottoms are low-rise.

marzipanned · 26/01/2014 17:50

I'm still in my bikini at 38+5. Also low rise bottoms, and the chest was a bit loose on me to start with so now a bit squeezy but basically fine. I don't do any hardcore swimming though - half an hour of granny breaststroke. It's quite nice liberating the bump.

I got a maternity one from next and there are plenty on eBay if you need a bargain one
