Maternity pads - any particular brand?

I was just going to get the Boots own brand as they're cheap but I've not noticed many other brands around. I spotted that they come in thick and ultra-thin but am guessing thick is best for the first week or so!

tesco maternity pads plus tea tree oil with ds1. had 3rd degree tear plus episiostomy. didnt actually bleed hugely but needed the soft padding (winces at the memory and hopes for no recurrence).

I used mothercare with wings and aloe Vera. They were nice and comfy and I would recommend them. Had second degree epistiotomy

Definitely go for the thick ones. You'll be a bit tender for a few days, even if the birth goes perfectly. I used Superdrug own brand, as they were cheapest at the time.

For first couple of days my MW suggested one of my older DC's nappies inside pants. Super absorbant and wide.
