7 weeks pregnant and pains

Hi all

first time to mumsnet and first pregnancy

ive been experiencing wierd cramps and now i have a pain in my belly button

can anyone shed any light on this and whether its normal to feel this

Hey Jess some crampy, stretchy type pains are totally normal. Totally freaked me out when it happened though! Congratulations on your pregnancy :-)

Hi, I'm 8 weeks pregnant with my first baby and am also experiencing period-type pains in my stomach. I've read that this is your body changing and your uterus stretching to accommodate baby. I find it uncomfortable driving and the seat belt causes me a dull ache when I drive longer distances too.

I had period type pains every four weeks both pregnancies. Scary at the time, but quite normal.
