Working out due date

I have just had my first scan as I got pregnant through the fertility clinic. it says I'm 8 weeks 4 days, how do I work out my due date? x

there are loads of due date calculators online, they used your last period start date as the basis for it (and the amount of days in your cycle..).. Just google ''due date calculator''..i think there is one on mumsnet infact.

As a matte rof interest, why didnt you ask them in the fertility clinic what your due date was?

You are 4 days behind me so I make it 1 September. Does your scan report not give the EDD?

I didn't ask as I was jsut so amazed by what I was seeing, it's my first. I couldn't use the calculator as we had been told the treatment hadn't made me ovulate through tracking scans so I knew I must have ovulated a long time after my last period as Iw as having scans for over 3 weeks following my period.

Oooh the 1st Sept means it could come on hubbys birthday :) The pic only says 8 weeks 4 days, no due date :)

It's 40 weeks total so you just need to count 31 weeks and 3 days from today. Or if you go back your 8 weeks 4 days use that in the due date calculators as the first day of your last period, and that should come out the same.

I had IVF so I know the date of conception precisely as it took place in a lab. It was 5 December. So your DOC will be around 9 December. :) I say "around" as the sizes to measure in early scans are so tiny that a millimetre out can make a difference of a few days.

Congrats. I assume you didn't have an easy journey either if you were under a fertility clinic, so well done on your BFP!
