Worried sick

Hi, I hope someone can help me.

I had 3 positive test results on 5th jan, one a clearblue with conception indicator showing 3+. My periods are all over the place since having implanon removed in November 13. I have been having a week of bleeding and then a week off since it's removal. On 20th dec a had a very light 4 day bleed and then nothing so did the tests. Was overjoyed at becoming pregnant! However, I only had sex about a week before I did the test so how could it have shown 3+?

My gp told me to disregard my last 4 day period and go with the one before which would have been 5th December. I was really poorly around this time and know that my husband and I had not been intimate during this time. If I use the date before that it's the 14th no which would make me 9+5 today.

All well and good but I had an early scan today because I started bleeding 3 days ago. Nothing showed up on US so did an internal scan which showed only the sac and she said the pregnancy was much earlier than I had thought. I'm so confused I don't know what to think. She couldn't tell me anything and has booked me in for another scan next week.

Has anyone had anything similar? Thanks

as this is unanswered I felt I should say something rather than read & run. clearblue aren't all that accurate with their week indicator. mine was showing 2-3wks but dr thought different. I've read a lot of posts with people saying the indicator is not that accurate to as how far along they are. we're at 15wks now,had a scan at 9 and an epu scan at 14 due to small frequent bleeds. hope this helps

Thank you for your reply. I know no one has the real answers just looking for some re assurance until we have another scan in 10 days, it feels like a life time to wait. Just feel so confused

Going by your dates it does sound like you concieved in your last cycle (5th dec). It could be possible you ovulated late though so not as far along as the doc might think?

I had my implant removed in Feb and found out I was pregnant in May. I had some bleeding when I thought I was about 9 weeks but I had a scan which showed an empty 6 week sac. I was told my dates might be off and to get another scan in ten days but unfortunately I miscarried before then.

I really hope your dates are wrong and you have a successful pregnancy. the waiting is so stressful, be kind to yourself. Someone said this to me and it really helped: 'prepare yourself for the worst but hope for the best.'

Thank you for your replies. I'm going back to work tonight, hopefully keep my mind off things. I just hope no one talks to me about it. I was so overjoyed when I found out I was pregnant I just couldn't keep my mouth shut! Now I know why your told not to tell anyone until 12 weeks :-(
