membrane sweep experiences?

Hi all!
Im currently 40+1 weeks and had a bloody show throughout the day yesterday. Today my MW gave me a sweep and iv been bleeding and loosing alot more of my mucus plug which is all bloody again. Ive had quite intense constant cramps not long after the sweep. Will i be in labour soon?

I lost my mucus plug on Saturday morning and got a sweep tomorrow. I have heard cramps after a sweep is quite common and I think could well be the start of something! Good luck Do keep us updated as I would love to know if it worked for you!

Ah i do hope so!! Ive had cramps on and off for about 2 weeks but these are much more intense then those ones. Fingers crossed! Oh good luck! Dont listen to people that say its painful its not!

Anything happening yet or still waiting?

Still waiting!! Argh! Cramps stopped last night and have stopped bleeding but this morning i lost what i think was my whole plug as it was LOTS had to run to the bathroom! Yellowy brown gunky discharge nice!
Hopefully not long now :( :(

I am sure it won't be long! I had my sweep this morning and 4cm dilated. I seem to be having contractions every 5 minutes now and lasting about a minute. Just waiting for them to get stronger and quicker and will call the birthing centre
