I am 21 weeks and have put on exactly one stone since being pregnant. I just wondered whether this is normal?

I have read that going forwards I should expect to put on 0.5-1 llb each week from now?

I personally wouldn't worry, everything I read said something different. I just ate the same as normal and I've put on 4 stone, I'm currently 38+5. I have a massive bump but the rest of me looks the same, people keep commenting that I only look pregnant from the side.

I put on a couple of stone. DD is 2 weeks old today and that couple of stone has gone. Still need to lose another couple, mind you!

You still have 19 weeks of growing time to go! I wouldn't worry as long as your healthy and baby is doing well!

I had big bump with my first but my second was totally diff, people didn't even know I was pregnant, I remember one lady at toddler group congratulating me on my pregnacy thinking I was early day (1 was 38 weeks)

Think it really depends on where you started, I'm 5'1 and was 7.7 stone when got BFP, I'm now 20 weeks and 8.4 stone, so basically I've put on 10 pounds. I expect I'll put on another stone or so, but it might be more. I feel massive already but I'm a small person.

The most important thing for me has been doing my best to maintain some muscle mass and walking a lot, because I want to be strong for labour.

I've put on 6 kilos at 36+4. Not sure how much that is - about 11-12lb?

I put on 3 stone in all 3 pregnancies, it's just what my body does. It comes off afterwards so I shouldn't worry

I've ended up at the same weight pp with every baby, the weight has always gone on at a different rate though, sometimes at the beginning and sometimes at the end (I have been pg over Christmas 4 times now so that may have something to do with it!).

I didn't find that the 0.5lb rule really worked for me tbh...I seem to remember reading that in the 'what to expect book', I found some books a bit prescriptive and have discovered that there is no 'normal'.

This is the first pregnancy where I haven't bothered weighing myself at all apart from at the booking in appointment. I am using the looking the mirror/can I still run after my toddler without wobbling too much method!
